Satellite Remote Sensing (RS) uses artificial satellites as a platform, integrates various sensors and related data transmission, distribution, and processing technologies to implement earth observation, and is an important part of 3S (GPS, GIS, RS). After more than 40 years of development, China has formed a series of "Fengyun", "Environment", "Ocean", "Resources", "Remote Sensing", "Sky Painting", "High Score" and other commercial remote sensing satellites, as well as Optical surveying satellites, radar surveying satellites, laser altimetry satellites, gravity satellites, etc. for basic surveying and mapping have played an important role in the exploration, monitoring, and research of the earth’s natural resources and environment.
